Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)

The Bachelor of Commerce (B.com) degree programme was initiated at MIT from the academic session 2018-19 to provide students with a wide range of managerial skills and understanding in streams like finance, accounting, taxation and management. B.Com mainly focuses on Accounts, Mathematics and Economics. The Commerce Department at MIT is one of the best commerce colleges in Meerut which gives primary importance to constantly improving the method of teaching and evaluation. Role plays and simulation labs are used to mimic real-life scenarios requiring prompt decision-making and quick analysis of situations.

There is no entrance examination for admission into B.Com degree course offered at MIT, Meerut. However, students have to fulfill the eligibility criteria set by Chaudhary Charan Singh University and attend the personal interviews at MIT, Meerut.

Eligibility XII from a recognized educational board with minimum score of 45%. Employment Roles Accountant, Auditor, Consultant, Company Secretary, Tax Accountant etc.

Programme Highlights:

The case study method is used to bring out the analytical skills of the students. Student presentations are encouraged in order to improve their confidence, negotiation and communication skills. This is further supplemented with periodical assignments. Subject experts are invited to enrich the knowledge of the students on contemporary issues. Students are encouraged to participate in intra, inter collegiate seminars and workshops conducted frequently.

About AIMA Bizlab

AIMA Bizlab is a virtual business laboratory designed for Management Graduates to offer the hands-on-experience in Management concepts and make them industry-ready. AIMA Bizlab is one of the first laboratories in Meerut region providing a platform to the students where they can take all the Business decisions related to Production, Marketing, Human Resource and Finance department with the help of simulation exercises.  Business Simulation Exercises will help in improving problem solving, decision making and analytical skills of the students. These exercises will also help in sharpening their entrepreneurial competencies and capabilities. 

In this exercise students will be appointed as the CEO of smart phone manufacturing company and they have to define the company strategy and make critical decisions across all functional areas of the business.

Performance would be measured using a balanced scorecard approach. This requires balancing the short term as well as long term performance indicators which are:

1. Stock Price and Profitability

2. Market share and customer service level

3. Stock out cost and Plant Utilization

4. Continuous improvement and Innovation

All decisions would be quarterly. After each quarter, scores would be calculated on each parameter and competitive standing shown to the teams.

Accommodation

MIT has hostel for boys and girls. The overall charge of student's discipline and hostel administration vests in the Chief Warden. All the hostel rooms are provided with Wi-Fi connectivity with 24 hours internet. The hostels provide 24 hour's electricity supply, water heaters.

Auditorium

Auditorium is a facility that strives to meet the needs of the college. MIT has designed centrally air-conditional multipurpose auditorium with the seating capacity of 300 students. It is equipped with latest audio-video system which fulfill the requirement of conferences, workshops, guest lectures, technical and cultural events.

Medical Facilities

Campus has a medical centre with a full time medical attendant to look after the health of students with basic facilities like first aid and medication. The institute not only provides comprehensive medical facilities to the students living in hostel but also to day scholars.

Transport facility

MIT has its own fleet of Buses & Ambulances. Institute provides transport facility to the interested candidates on various routes depending on the minimum availability of the students. The vehicles also ply as transport to our hostellers to the examination centers during the end semester examinations.

Cafeteria

Canteen at institute provides fresh snacks items like tea, coffee, juice, cold drinks etc to students & visitors at nominal cost.
